As Senior Vice President of Global Acquisitions, Carlyn Staudt is responsible for sourcing and licensing acquisitions for both National Geographic Channels International and National Geographic Channel US, and overseeing a newly created infrastructure for a global acquisitions team. She also supports NGC’s growing channels including Nat Geo Adventure, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Wild HD, and NGC HD, as each channel continues to expand in distribution. At a strategic level, Staudt is responsible for structuring programming supply deals that take into account cross-channel synergies, specific regional needs and the growing demand for expanded media rights.
Previously as Director of Programming for NGCI, Staudt was responsible for sourcing and contracting acquisitions, co-productions and original programming. Staudt also negotiated and administered regional programming initiatives such as the MDA and EDB fund in Singapore, the GIO fund in Taiwan and the Ancine fund in Brazil. Staudt joined NGCI as Senior Manager of Programming in 2002.
Staudt holds a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Notre Dame.
