Julia Harrington is Commissioning Editor for History at Channel 4, where she is responsible for a diverse and innovative range of programmes. She joined Channel 4 last year, following a stint as history commissioner at channel five where she commissioned last year’s run of Revealed. Previously she was a freelance film maker, known for making some of Channel 4’s highest rating specialist factual programmes, such as the first Bodyshock, The Boy Who Gave Birth to His Twin. She was also commissioned by Channel 4 to make a number of her own series ideas including the award-winning Shell Shock, the previously untold history of British military psychiatry.
